Once again: 35-year-old found lifeless in her apartment

Police officers in Ferlach in Carinthia made a shocking discovery when they opened the apartment of a 35-year-old Slovenian woman. Her husband raised the alarm after the woman locked herself in there and had not made herself known. 

"As the 35-year-old wife of a 44-year-old Slovenian man had locked herself in their apartment on New Year's Eve, the Ferlach fire brigade was ordered by the police to open the apartment after the woman failed to respond," said the police. The Slovenian woman was found lifeless in the living room of the apartment.

Resuscitation attempts unsuccessful
Unfortunately, the resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful. "Paraphernalia indicating the use of narcotics was found during the search." The public prosecutor's office in Klagenfurt ordered an autopsy, which confirmed an overdose of various addictive substances as the cause of death. Signs of violence can be ruled out. The investigation is ongoing.

The woman is already the second person to have lost her life in Carinthia within a very short space of time due to addictive drugs. As reported, a 33-year-old man was discovered dead in his apartment in Klagenfurt on New Year's Day.
