Biker seriously injured after multiple rollovers

There were two serious motorcycle accidents on Tyrolean roads on Saturday afternoon. First, a 29-year-old German woman was injured in Elmen in the Tyrolean Außerfern. A good two hours later, a local man (24) ended up in hospital with serious injuries.

A 29-year-old German woman was riding her motorcycle on the Bschlaber Landesstraße in Elmen shortly before 4 pm. She may have slammed on her brakes and veered into the oncoming lane. She hit a kerb with her bike and crashed.

She suffered serious injuries and had to be taken to hospital in Reutte by ambulance. The motorcycle sustained serious damage.

Multiple rollover
The accident involving a 24-year-old local in Tarrenz must have been particularly spectacular. The biker went over onto the right-hand side of the road with his bike at around 6 pm. He then drove onto the verge and crashed.

The victim rolled over several times and was seriously injured.

"The victim rolled over several times and was seriously injured," said the police. After first aid, he was flown by emergency helicopter to Innsbruck University Hospital.
