Boy unconscious after falling on downhill course

On Friday, a ten-year-old wanted to conquer a downhill course near Lienz with his friend. But the outing ended for the schoolboy in hospital. A fall had serious consequences for him. 

The ten-year-old and his friend were riding their bikes towards the valley on the so-called Family Flow Trail at around 2 pm. On a ramp, the pupil fell for an as yet unknown reason and remained unconscious on the forest floor.

The ten-year-old's friend reacted quickly and set the rescue chain in motion. The mountain rescue team climbed up to the accident victim, rescued him and took him to hospital. The pupil was already responsive again at this point. However, he sustained serious injuries in the accident.
