Nicolas Schmid's transfer to English second division club Portsmouth has been dragging on for days, but now things could finally be moving. A successor is on the verge of arriving on loan from the island. 

Blau-Weiß Linz have been on the lookout for a physically strong and tall goalkeeper for the last few days, and now they are said to have found Nicolas Schmid's successor in England. The 20-year-old Czech Radek Vitek is apparently about to go on loan to the steel city, as transfer insiders have already reported on social media.

1.98-meter giant
Vitek is in the service of Manchester United and was most recently loaned out to Accrington Stanley. With his height, the 1.98-meter man fits the profile perfectly. Especially as the Blue & White bosses emphasized only yesterday that it is not routine, but quality and potential that are more important.
