Violent collision: Biker in artificial deep sleep

On Saturday afternoon, a car driver and a motorcyclist collided for unknown reasons on the B 71 near Mariazell. While all car occupants were uninjured, the biker suffered severe injuries and had to be put into an artificial deep sleep on the spot.

Serious motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon between Mariazell and Gaming: A 57-year-old motorcyclist from Vienna collided with a car driver from the Steyr district at around 12.30 pm. It is still unclear exactly what happened.

While the four occupants of the car were uninjured, the motorcyclist came to rest on the road with serious injuries. Among other things, he suffered thoracic trauma and an open fracture of the lower leg - he had to be put into artificial deep sleep at the scene.

The motorcyclist was flown by the Christophorus 15 rescue helicopter to the shock room at Amstetten Regional Hospital. In addition to the Red Cross, the Lackenhof fire department and the police were also deployed.
