Crash in Liezen: motorcyclist seriously injured

There was a crash on the L 712 in Sölk (Liezen district) on Saturday morning: A 55-year-old motorcyclist collided with a 49-year-old car driver and was seriously injured. The Christophorus 14 rescue helicopter had to be called out.

It was around 10 o'clock on Saturday morning when a 49-year-old German driver wanted to turn left in his car at a junction in Sölk. At the same time, a 55-year-old motorcyclist was on the crossroads - and one of the two may have misjudged the situation.

The next moment, the two drivers collided and the motorcyclist from Salzburg crashed. He sustained serious injuries and had to be taken to Schwarzach Hospital by the Christophorus 14 rescue helicopter. The police and the fire department (14 firefighters from Stein an der Enns) were also deployed.
