Scandalous professional fails medical check

A transfer to Shabab Al-Ahli Club was actually already in the bag, but then Kurt Zouma, who caused a scandal two years ago due to animal cruelty, failed the medical check.

The 29-year-old central defender probably no longer has a future at West Ham (contract until 2025) in the Premier League, which is why he pushed for a move to the United Arab Emirates, but as the BBC reports, Zouma failed the medical check. Now the advisor has to look for alternatives, as West Ham have signed Jean-Clair Todibo as a competitor for Zouma's position.

Cat tormented
The former Chelsea star has had a difficult time. Two years ago, he was charged with animal cruelty because a video showed him kicking and hitting a cat. His club then fined him 250,000 pounds (around 300,000 euros). Adidas also ended its collaboration with him. Zouma was sentenced to 180 hours of community service.

"That was a difficult time for me and my family. I did something very bad and I apologize again for my behavior," the Frenchman asked West Ham TV to apologize.

Zouma would have wanted to make a fresh start at another club next season. However, Zouma obviously needs to improve his physical fitness to do so. It remains to be seen whether he will find a new club this summer and how his career will continue.
