Building contractor Richard Lugner has died at the age of 91. The Viennese building tycoon became famous not only for his construction activities, but above all for his dazzling appearances at the Vienna Opera Ball and his celebrity entourages, which regularly brought him great media attention.

We take another look at his eventful life - his great loves, his political successes and the reactions to Richard Lugner's death. Lugner was found in the morning by his wife Simone and his housekeeper, who immediately called the ambulance. Unfortunately, the resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful.
