A 42-year-old man was taken in by a particularly brazen fraudster on the Internet. He had found a good offer for a pressure washer, but the package contained a nasty surprise ...

While clicking through online classified ads on the Internet, a 42-year-old man from the St. Veit district came across a tempting offer and immediately ordered a pressure washer. "The contact with the previously unknown perpetrator took place via an online messenger," explained the police.

At the end of July, the man then transferred a low four-figure sum to a German bank account and waited for the delivery. But the parcel carrier only gave him a nasty surprise: the parcel contained a bag of play sand!
