Shots fired in gravel pit: police are looking for witnesses

There is excitement about shots that are said to have been fired in a gravel pit in the Styrian Murtal. The police seized shell casings and a projectile that hit a detached house in a nearby settlement. Witnesses are now being sought!

The incident apparently took place on July 13 between 5 and 6 p.m. in a gravel pit in Pöls-Oberkurzheim, as the Styrian Provincial Police Directorate announced on social media on Wednesday: "The person is believed to have fired several shots. One of the projectiles hit a detached house in a nearby housing estate".

The projectile, bullet casings and other evidence were recovered. The Styrian State Office of Criminal Investigation is investigating on the grounds of endangering physical safety.
