Rare guest! Whale crashes Olympic show in Tahiti

Yet another spectacular photo from the surfing competition at the Olympic Games has gone around the world. A few days after photographer Jerome Brouillet was able to capture Brazilian Gabriel Medina as Superman, a whale crashed the women's final.

Tatiana Weston-Webb had just prepared for her run when a huge whale jumped out of the water in the background. A photographer present reacted with lightning speed and captured the visitor weighing several tons in a spectacular picture.

Carolina Marks' winning smile must also have made for a good picture. The US American came out on top ahead of the Brazilian Weston-Webb.
