Jorge Martin is back at the top of the MotoGP World Championship standings. A second place was enough for the Spanish Pramac rider to reclaim the lead from Francesco Bagnaia at the Silverstone Circuit on Sunday. Ducati works rider Enea Bastianini snatched victory, with his team-mate Bagnaia finishing third.

Jorge Martin is back in the lead of the MotoGP World Championship. The Ducati rider took second place at the British Grand Prix on Sunday, just ahead of title rival Francesco Bagnaia, and is three points ahead of the world champion at the halfway point of the 20 stages to be completed.

Victory at Silverstone went to the Italian Enea Bastianini, who also won the sprint the day before.

Bastianini takes advantage of Martin's mistake
Bagnaia took the lead at the start, was first overtaken by Martin on lap 12 and then by Bastianini two laps later in a race that was close at all times. The latter took advantage of a mistake by Martin shortly before the end and celebrated his first Grand Prix victory of the season. The best KTM rider was once again Pedro Acosta in ninth. Jack Miller finished twelfth and Brad Binder was left off the grid due to a technical issue. The next race weekend will take place in Spielberg from August 16th to 18th
