Shooting stars have been increasingly visible in the sky since mid-July, and the peak of the natural spectacle awaits on the night of August 12. Styrian Michael Kleinburger is also on the photo mission - he impressed NASA with a dream photo and gives "Krone" readers tips on how best to see the Perseids.

Long, lonely and often freezing cold nights high up in the mountains are nothing out of the ordinary for astrophotographer Michael Kleinburger (37). Time and again, he perseveres there to take the best pictures of the sky - as he did in July 2023 on the Hochkar in the Lower Austrian-Styrian border region.
