Olympic beds too hard! Swedes have to go to IKEA

The start to the Olympic adventure in Paris got off to a bumpy start for the Swedish handball players. As they couldn't cope with the mattresses on their beds, the team had to buy replacements. Naturally, this led them to IKEA.

As at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the Olympic participants in Paris have beds made from cardboard boxes at their disposal. But the Swedish handball players didn't have a problem with the beds themselves, it was the mattresses that gave them a hard time.

"The mattresses are hard. They're brand new, so it takes time for them to soften up. But we have to get a good night's sleep straight away," handball player Jamina Roberts told "Expressen". After all, the opening game against Norway is already scheduled for Thursday.

In order to get a good night's sleep before then, the team simply set off to get a replacement from IKEA. "You have to be solution-oriented and do what's best for you," says Roberst dryly. Will the softer underlays bring success? The first answer to this can be found in the Scandinavian duel.
