Worker’s foot caught between excavator and post

Well-rehearsed teams are at work on the construction sites on our roads, but on Monday there was an accident on the south highway in Lavanttal: a worker's foot got caught between an excavator tire and a wooden post.

A man from Lavanttal (46) wanted to place a four-meter-long wooden post while a colleague (20) was reversing a construction machine. The 46-year-old stumbled and fell towards the construction machine, which the 20-year-old did not notice immediately.

The 46-year-old worker's foot was caught between the excavator tire and the wooden post. The emergency services took the injured man to Wolfsberg Regional Hospital.
