“Old acquaintance” smokes pot during police check

Within a week (!), a suspected drug driver, who also doesn't even have a driver's license, was pulled over by the police in Innsbruck for the third time on Sunday. This time the Hungarian (22) was even smoking a joint when the officers pulled him over.

The 22-year-old Hungarian now seems to be a "permanent guest" at police checks in Innsbruck. Late on Sunday evening, shortly before midnight, the young man was targeted by the police in Kranebitter Allee. 

The officers probably couldn't believe their eyes or noses when they pulled the driver over. They discovered that the driver had "just smoked a joint", the police reported on Monday. The Hungarian refused to undergo a clinical examination.

Chase and "tuning focus"
For the investigators, the 22-year-old suspect is now an "old acquaintance", as this was the third arrest within a week. The previous weekend, the man had been involved in a chase with the police. In the end, he was stopped and brought before the public health officer.

According to the police, he was finally found to be impaired by narcotics and overtired. Small amounts of cannabis were seized in the Hungarian's vehicle.

On Thursday, the Hungarian was finally stopped as part of a "tuning focus operation". In this case, too, he had already refused to appear before a medical officer.
