Cat “Boss” was shot in the garden

A cat owner was presented with a heartbreaking scene on Sunday evening at around 8 pm. He found his missing cat "Boss", shot and seriously injured, in the garden of a residential complex in the Vorarlberg municipality of Vandans.  

Boss" had left his owner's apartment during the night from Saturday to Sunday and had not returned in the morning. The worried cat owner desperately searched for the four-legged friend, a male cat of the "Maine Coon" breed. 

Help at the veterinary clinic
After finally finding the injured "boss", who was unable to return home under his own power, the owner immediately took the cat to the veterinary clinic. An X-ray revealed that there was a projectile in the furry friend's body. An unknown person had fired at least one shot at the defenceless cat.  

The Schruns police are now investigating animal cruelty and are asking for information about the circumstances (phone [phone]).
