Truck driving ban disregarded, technical defects

On Wednesday night, the police carried out a "hot campaign" in the area of Pfunds and Nauders (Landeck district) regarding the Reschen driving ban for transit traffic. Several trucks were stopped and technical defects were also found on the heavy goods vehicles.

"A total of five heavy goods vehicles were stopped and checked, which were in breach of the Reschen driving ban," reported the police in a statement on Thursday.

But that's not all: the officers also took a closer look at the technical condition of the trucks. Various defects were found.

A total of 25 charges
"All in all, five reports were filed for disregarding the Reschen driving ban, 17 reports for technical defects and three further reports to the responsible district administrative authority," it said.
