Dog rescued by rope from Aubachfall

The Abtenau mountain rescue team (Salzburg) was able to rescue a dog from a difficult situation. The one-year-old "Baldi" fell down the Aubach Falls and was washed onto a platform. Without help, the four-legged friend would not have been able to free himself.

The Abtenau mountain rescue team went to the scene with eleven men. Once there, it was clear that the dog could only be rescued by pulling him up. Two men then abseiled down the 20-metre-high Aubach Falls to "Baldi".

The dog was given a muzzle and a rescue harness and was then rescued using a team pulley. Once at the top, the rescuers handed him over to his owner, safe and sound and happy.
