Lena Meyer-Landrut taken to hospital before concert

Concern for Lena Meyer-Landrut: One of her concerts in Munich had to be canceled at short notice due to a medical emergency. What had happened?

"I wasn't feeling so well during the day, and then in the evening I got cramp-like stomach and kidney pains, had to vomit shortly before the show started and was then taken to hospital," the 33-year-old wrote on Instagram on Sunday.

As one concertgoer reported, the audience was waiting for the musician and her band to perform when an announcement informed them that it would take a little longer because someone had collapsed. Lena would have been the main act of the evening - after performances by singers Tom Twers and Leony.

Some time later, a woman had then entered the stage and - initially without giving a reason - announced that the concert would have to be canceled.

"I'm incredibly sorry that you waited so long and had to leave disappointed," said Meyer-Landrut. "My conscience is driving me, but my body said no."

The 33-year-old is currently on tour with her new album "Loyal to myself" and was due to perform in Wangen im Allgäu on Sunday evening. "I'm resting now and doing everything I can to be able to play the show for you tonight!" she wrote.
