Host USA gets Copa America off to a successful start

Hosts USA have made a successful start to the Copa America continental soccer championship. The US team defeated Bolivia 2:0 (2:0) in Arlington/Texas on Sunday thanks to goals from Christian Pulisic (3rd) and Folarin Balogun after Pulisic's assist (44th).

In Miami/Florida, Uruguay beat Panama 3:1 (1:0) in the second match of Group C.

Maximiliano Araujo (16), Darwin Nunez (85) and Matias Vina (91) scored for the favorites, Panama scored the consolation goal in the 94th minute through Michael Murillo.
