Fixed! Rapid loans offensive player to Altach

SK Rapid is loaning its attacking player Oliver Strunz to SCR Altach in Vorarlberg for the coming season. This was announced by the Green-Whites in a press release on Tuesday. 

The medical checks have been successfully completed and all formalities have been finalized. The 24-year-old Viennese was already on the verge of joining Altach on loan during the winter break, but this came to an end in January due to a serious ankle injury.

Due to this injury, Strunz did not make any appearances for the professional team in the current calendar year. He celebrated his comeback in the Regionalliga Ost with SK Rapid II in May. The 24-year-old scored six goals in 44 competitive matches for the professional team and a further 17 goals in 49 competitive matches for Rapid II.

Rapid managing director of sport Markus Katzer commented on the transfer: "Oliver Strunz has not been given a long-term contract with us for nothing, we have great confidence in his abilities even after his serious injury. What's important now is that he gets to play as many games as possible at the highest possible level, and the loan to Altach is an ideal solution for that."
