Moped rider thrown onto the road after collision

A fatal accident on Monday in Volders in the Tyrolean lowlands: a 15-year-old moped rider collided with a van and suffered serious injuries. He had to be taken to hospital.

The accident happened at a junction. According to the police, the 15-year-old moped rider disregarded a stop sign. When turning, the boy finally collided with the van, which was being driven by a 40-year-old Austrian.

Rescue to hospital
Due to the force of the impact, the teenager was thrown onto the road. He suffered injuries as a result. After first aid at the scene of the accident, the 15-year-old was taken to the hospital in Hall by ambulance.
