Major search operation: Tyrolean man (44) missing in Hall

A 44-year-old Tyrolean man in Hall in the district of Innsbruck-Land has disappeared from the face of the earth. A large search operation was carried out on Sunday, in which several search dogs were also involved. This had to be called off in the late afternoon without success and will be continued on Monday.

The Tyrolean's wife (39) raised the alarm. At around 11.45 am, she reported to the police station in Hall that the 44-year-old was missing from the apartment they shared. A major search operation ensued. "The greater Hall area, the area of the Inn and the alpine area around Absam were searched", according to the police. The search was unsuccessful until shortly before 5 pm.

The 44-year-old was wearing a gray/silver rain jacket, blue jeans and white Adidas sneakers with orange accents.

Search dogs also deployed
A tracking dog, the alpine police, a police helicopter, two police patrols, the Hall mountain rescue team with 23 emergency services and five search dogs, the Innsbruck water rescue team and the Kufstein water rescue team were all deployed. The police are planning a new search on Monday. They have also published a photo of the missing man. "It is assumed that the man is on foot," said the investigators. The 44-year-old was wearing a gray/silver rain jacket, blue jeans and white Adidas sneakers with orange accents.
