Once again: a kid stuck under a fence!

The proverbial cat in a tree is an all-too-common emergency scenario for the fire department in Lower Austria. In Guntramsdorf in the district of Mödling, the firefighters had to be called out to rescue a goat. And twice within 24 hours!

The fact that goats are stubborn is apparently not just a common saying: according to another saying, the grass really was greener on the other side of the fence for a kid. The animal tried to crawl under a fence to feast on the lush meadow outside its enclosure. However, the success was modest.

Because the four-legged friend got stuck under the fence, witnesses called the fire department to Industriestraße on Sunday evening. There, the Florianis encountered an old acquaintance: The goat had already gotten caught under the fence on Saturday. The volunteers practiced dismantling the fence to free the goat.

Not far from yesterday's deployment site, the same goat got its head stuck under a fence element again. It seems that the grass outside the enclosure tastes particularly good to the young animal.

Goat remained unharmed both times
On Saturday, a jogger became aware of the animal's pitiful bleating. "Shortly after the alarm was raised, two vehicles were dispatched to the scene and the goat was freed unharmed in just a few simple steps. As soon as it was freed from its predicament, it quickly ran back to the herd," reads the incident report from June 1.
