Driver hits three cars while overtaking

A 26-year-old driver crashed his car into three cars in Hohenems on Friday during an unsuccessful overtaking maneuver. Fortunately, only one person was slightly injured, but the material damage is considerable. 

The accident occurred on Diepoldsauer Straße (L46). At around 12.40 p.m., the 26-year-old started an overtaking maneuver. However, this went badly wrong: first he hit the car he was overtaking with his car, then he skidded and collided with a car in the opposite lane.

The 26-year-old then steered his vehicle back into the right-hand lane, where he hit the car in front of him. Fortunately, only one person involved in the accident suffered minor neck injuries, but three of the four cars were no longer roadworthy.
