Princess Kate causes a stir again with picture

A picture of Princess Kate has now managed to upset the internet once again. Even though it was supposed to convey a touching message.

King Charles recently caused quite a stir. The 75-year-old unveiled a portrait of himself in office. The painting was not well received by Royal fans. And now there's another furore - over a picture of Charles' daughter-in-law Princess Kate.

Tatler magazine had the 42-year-old immortalized on canvas by the British-Sambian artist Hannah Uzor and placed the portrait on a cover.

However, this did not go down well on social networks in the run-up to the publication (the magazine will not be published until May 30) - a reaction that had not been planned. After all, the artist wanted to dedicate a portrait to the princess because of her cancer diagnosis and thus emphasize the strength of the mother of three.

"She has really grown into her role - she was born for this task. She carries herself with such dignity, elegance and grace," says "Tatler" in Uzor's words.

But what exactly can be seen in the picture?
The portrait was based on the first state banquet in the King's reign in 2022, when South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was received at Buckingham Palace. Princess Kate was dressed for the occasion in a white, floor-length gown.

It came from her favorite designer Jenny Packham. Glittering details on the shoulders added a certain touch, as did the "Lover's Knot Tiara" - one of Princess Diana's most important pieces of jewelry.
