Drunk as a skunk car crashes into trees

Some ideas only seem good when you're drunk: A 19-year-old in St. Oswald near Freistadt (Upper Austria) got into his car with almost 2 per mille and caused a serious accident. Friends had apparently taken him home beforehand, but the lad wanted to return to the party ...

On Monday night, a 19-year-old from the Freistadt district got behind the wheel of his vehicle. Shortly afterwards, however, he lost control of his vehicle and left the road on the L579 in the municipality of Amesreith (St. Oswald bei Freistadt). He crashed into several trees. According to initial investigations, the 19-year-old was only slightly injured. The emergency services were also at the scene.

The car is scrap
The car was totally damaged and had to be recovered by the fire department. A breathalyzer test carried out on the driver was positive, which is why his driving license was temporarily confiscated. He had almost 2 per mille.
