Three people injured

Car and motorcycle collided at an intersection in Graz

Three people were injured, some seriously, in a head-on collision between a car and a motorcycle on Thursday night in the Wetzelsdorf district of Graz. Both vehicles sustained considerable material damage. 

At around 9:00 p.m., a 40-year-old man was driving his car in a southerly direction on Alte Poststraße. There was a 20-year-old woman in the passenger seat. The driver intended to turn left into Peter-Rosegger-Straße at the junction. 

At the same time, a 22-year-old man was driving his motorcycle in a northerly direction on Harter Straße and intended to drive straight ahead into Alte Poststraße at the same junction. A 19-year-old woman was also on the motorcycle. 

Motorcycle passenger seriously injured
The two vehicles collided head-on at the junction, causing the two people on the motorcycle to fall. The 22-year-old was taken to Graz Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries and the 19-year-old with serious injuries. The 20-year-old passenger in the car suffered minor injuries.
