Honked before accident

Cyclist (12) hit by car – driver fled

An unknown driver was driving rather recklessly in Dornbirn on Tuesday afternoon. Before overtaking a boy cycling in front of him, he honked his horn. He then hit the twelve-year-old while overtaking. Although the young cyclist fell, the unidentified man simply drove on. 

The Dornbirn police are now looking for the driver of an anthracite-colored car who was involved in the accident at the Bahngasse/Eichbrunnen intersection at around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The boy was injured to an indeterminate degree in the side collision and the fall onto the road. The police are asking the driver and any witnesses to report to Dornbirn police station.
