French sidecar duo die in accident

The French motorsport scene is mourning the loss of the two sidecar drivers Franck Bajus and Christophe Darras. The duo lost control of their vehicle during a race in Hengelo in the Netherlands and succumbed to serious injuries after a violent accident.

According to "Speedweek.com", the serious accident occurred in the third lap of the second race of the Northern Sidecar Cup. It is said that 62-year-old Bajus lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and the two Frenchmen ended up in the garden of an adjacent house. 

First aid at the scene was unsuccessful and Bajus and Darras succumbed to their injuries in hospital.
