Breezy Johnson accepts 14-month ban

After Breezy Johnson violated the USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) reporting regulations, the US-American has now been officially punished with a 14-month ban. Johnson is said to have already accepted the punishment.

Background: World Cup athletes are subject to a reporting obligation and must always state where they are in order to be available for any doping tests. Johnson had violated the requirements three times over a period of twelve months, and the USADA has now decided on a 14-month ban.

However, as Johnson's ban came into force on October 10, 2023, the 28-year-old will be allowed to compete again next December.

Missed doping tests
On 9 December 2023, the speed specialist confirmed the rumors that she had problems with the American anti-doping agency USADA. Discrepancies in the naming of whereabouts and thus missed doping tests subsequently led to investigations that continued until the end.
