Where people like to get married in Lower Austria

The wedding season is starting all over Austria. A recent analysis shows where people like to get married in the province and what trends are emerging.

Wedding bells ring particularly often in the warmer months - and Lower Austria is no exception. Two wedding portals recently found out where people like to say "I do". The locations currently most in demand in Lower Austria based on website visits are Luberegg Castle (Melk district), Hernstein Castle (Baden district) and the Franz von Grün venue (Bruck an der Leitha district).

The "World of Wedding-Location-Awards 2024" were also presented, and the Refugium Hochstrass in the district of St. Pölten was also honored. Franz von Grün and Luberegg Castle are also among the award winners. 

Floating cakes and champagne towers
In addition to colorful, gaudy floral decorations, the trend this year is the champagne tower and illuminated signs for decorations. Floating cakes - cakes that use a special technique to give the impression that a piece is floating - are being used, as is a salty bar instead of a candy bar. 

As far as the wedding dress is concerned, less is more! Better simple than pompous. And: ivory is the new snow white. 

Couples are also opting for honeymoon days instead of weeks, but the wedding can last several days. By the way: the most popular day to get married this year is 24.8.2024.
