“F*** you”: Grand Slam winner lashes out at fans

Because her match against local hero Lucia Bronzetti was not interrupted despite the rain in Rome, Sofia Kenin lost her nerve on Thursday, attacking the umpire and the crowd with wild insults.

With the score at 2:3 in the first set from the US American's point of view, Kenin cursed her heart out - barely audible on the TV broadcast.

Insults that obviously went too far for the Italian audience, who reacted with loud whistles and boos.

Despite the anger, Kenin did not lose her composure and the 2020 Australian Open winner defeated Bronzetti in two sets 6:3 and 6:2 - even if the fans did hear the odd "F*** you".
