Car hurled into field, Styrian woman in hospital

A serious traffic accident occurred on Monday morning in Kirchbach in eastern Styria: a 43-year-old crashed into the car of a 27-year-old woman. The Styrian woman's car was thrown into the field and overturned.

According to his own statements, the 43-year-old man from south-eastern Styria wanted to reach for a water bottle, which is why he overlooked the car of a 27-year-old woman driving in front of him on the B 73 in the municipality of Kirchbach. The man was unable to avoid the collision and crashed into the vehicle in front of him. 

Due to the force of the impact, the woman's car was thrown into the adjacent field, overturned and came to rest on its roof. The woman from southern Styria was responsive when the emergency services arrived and was taken to Feldbach Regional Hospital by an emergency doctor. The man suffered minor injuries and also had to be taken to hospital. The Kirchbach fire department was also involved in the accident with two vehicles.
