Car had to swerve out of the way of a bicycle: three injured
Serious traffic accident on Saturday afternoon in Herbersdorf near Stainz: a car had to swerve out of the way of an oncoming bicycle, overturned and ended up in the field. Three occupants were injured, a 42-year-old woman even had to be taken to Graz Regional Hospital by helicopter.
On Saturday, three occupants of a car were injured in an accident in Herbersdorf. A cyclist was riding along the L617 towards Stainz and may have overlooked the oncoming car, according to the Styrian police. The car driver then turned the steering wheel to avoid him and overturned.
The five occupants were thrown into the field, where the car came to rest. A 42-year-old woman was so seriously injured that she had to be taken to Graz Regional Hospital by rescue helicopter. A 67-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy also suffered injuries and were taken to hospital. The vehicle involved in the accident was then recovered using a crane.
