Schwab improves to 9th place in round two

Matthias Schwab from Styria moved up six places into the top ten in the second round of the Shenzhen International Golf Tournament in China on Friday.

After a round of 68 on the par-72 course, he ranks ninth with a total of nine under par, seven strokes behind the Swedish leader Sebastian Söderberg. Schwab recorded four birdies on his round. His compatriot Bernd Wiesberger made it into the weekend with a 70.

With three under par, the Burgenland native ranks 58th, just below the cut line. Lukas Nemecz also came through with 70 strokes. However, the mortgage of the 76 round from the previous day weighed too heavily on the Styrian, and in 111th place he missed out on progressing by five strokes.
