103 instead of 50 km/h
Speeding driver (43) braked just before police officers
Madness on the roads. A 43-year-old woman from Linz was speeding through her home town at 103 km/h instead of the permitted 50 km/h. She then ignored several stop signs. She then ignored several stop signs and in the end almost ran down police officers, only braking very late.
On Thursday, the police carried out routine laser measurements in Linz on Florianer Straße at the A1 exit. At 2 p.m., a car suddenly approached at a very high speed. The measurement carried out showed 103 km/h in the local area, without deducting the measurement tolerance.
Signs to stop ignored
The driver was asked to stop with clearly visible arm signals. However, this did not interest the driver at all. On the contrary: the officers noticed that the woman continued to accelerate. At the height of the intervening police officer, the driver finally initiated an emergency stop. The 43-year-old woman from Linz had her driver's license confiscated on the spot and was forbidden to continue driving. Charges will be filed.
