Driving after joint cost 19-year-old his license

Styrian probationary driver (19) immediately lost his license in Kaprun (Salzburg). He had previously consumed cannabis.

On Sunday afternoon, officers from the Kaprun police station noticed a vehicle with a conspicuous driving style. During the check, it turned out that the driver was a 19-year-old Styrian probationary driver's license holder. But that was not the only problem - a rapid drug test reacted positively to THC, the active ingredient in cannabis.

The young driver refused to undergo a further clinical examination, but admitted to having smoked a joint the previous evening. As a consequence, his driver's license was immediately revoked on the spot.
