The speed trap snapped shut on 328 speeders

Some drivers are apparently simply unteachable. The police carried out intensive checks at the Flughafenstraße traffic circle in Pasching for 9.5 hours. The speed of drivers was also measured and the results were sobering, with some of them really stepping on the gas pedal.

On Friday between 4 p.m. and 1.30 a.m., a traffic focus took place with the forces of the provincial traffic department and the Linz-Land district. The technical inspection of the vehicles was carried out at the checkpoint at the Flughafenstraße traffic circle by experts from the Office of the Upper Austrian Provincial Government.

Numerous defects
79 reports of technical defects, 4 reports of exhaust systems, 9 license plate approvals, 25 applications for special inspections, 5 reports of noise, 6909 radar measurements - 328 of which were radar reports.

140 instead of 70 km/h
The maximum speed measured at the permitted 70 km/h was 140 km/h _ so the driver only just avoided having his car taken off the road - and at the permitted 80 km/h at 149 km/h. 50 organ mandates had to be issued for various offenses.
