Bernd Wiesberger on the advance in Japan

Professional golfer Bernd Wiesberger is on the advance at the ISPS Handa Championship in Japan with prize money of 2.25 million dollars. The Burgenland native, who only finished his second round on Saturday with a flawless 66 to make the cut, then played a 67 and moved up 20 places to 30th place after three rounds with a total of 204 strokes (6 under par).

Things did not go so well for Matthias Schwab with a 71; the Styrian is in 56th place (2 under).

As expected, Lukas Nemecz was eliminated at the halfway stage. The Styrian did not compete at all on Saturday at the Taiheiyo Club due to a lack of sporting prospects in order to finish his second round - which had to be interrupted on Friday due to darkness.
