Salzburg among the best translators

The best Latin and Greek talents in the country were sought in Salzburg over the past few days. Salzburg's pupils were at the forefront of the translation competitions.

Austria's best Latin and Greek students competed against each other in Salzburg over the past few days. The Federal Olympiad for seventh and eighth graders was on the agenda. The aim was to demonstrate the best translation skills in several text forms in both ancient languages. Salzburg's pupils were at the forefront.

Lena Moser from the Akademisches Gymnasium in the city of Salzburg was the best "Greek". She was the most convincing translator of the texts, which dealt with topics such as the Olympic Games in sport. In the Latin competitions, Lena Beslin (BG Nonntal) was able to translate her way onto the winner's podium. She was only beaten by Magdalena Dujmovits from Vienna.

Next year, the Austrian Olympic Language Games will take place in Vorarlberg.
