"Muuuuhhh!"
Prince William tells “lame” dad joke
The joke wasn't particularly good, and not really a joke at all, and certainly not from him. Prince William showed his sense of humor on Thursday and, during a visit to a school in Birmingham, told a children's joke he heard from his daughter, Princess Charlotte, without batting an eyelid.
The prince was asked for a "dad joke" on the school radio station at St. Michael's School, where a project is also talking about the mental health of young boys.
William bravely dug out a joke that his daughter Charlotte, who turns nine next week, likes to tell and who apparently rolls her eyes at it as soon as she "plays" it with her dad. The heir to the throne apologized for it because it wasn't really a joke at all.
You can listen to the joke in this embedded X-Posting in the thread below:
"Muuuuh"
Because it's also more of a dialog. Prince William to the children present: "Knock, knock". They replied: "Who's there?" William: "The annoying cow." The children: "The annoying cow ..." Prince William: "Muuuuh."
The gag is that the annoying cow mooed before the kids could add the question "who?".
Prince William and his wife Catherine were invited last year by 12-year-old Freddie Hadley to a meeting of a group of boys aged 11 to 14 who meet weekly to develop ideas and projects to tackle mental health issues.
Visit unfortunately without Kate
At the time, Prince William and Princess Kate apologized to Freddy in a tweet that they were unable to come along to support him with his fantastic project. But they asked him to please keep at it, as it was important work. To Freddy's surprise and great delight, the Prince actually went to see the work.
Unfortunately without Princess Kate, who was diagnosed with cancer following a serious abdominal operation in January. The Princess has since withdrawn to fight the disease with preventative chemotherapy and focus on her health.
