Girl gang robs group of vacationers in Vienna
Brutal robbery among teenagers in Vienna: A gang of girls robbed four vacationers from Upper Austria - two girls and two boys aged 15 to 16 - in a vacation apartment at the beginning of April. The five suspects, aged between 16 and 19, allegedly threatened their victims with a suspected firearm, kicked them and took valuables such as cell phones.
The young tourists wanted to rent a vacation apartment in the Landstraße district at the beginning of their stay in Vienna on April 2. However, a person who is at least 20 years old was required to sign the contract. The group then contacted an acquaintance who assured them that he would send a suitable person over.
Instead of a person who was at least 20 years old, the gang of girls turned up a short time later, robbed the young people and then fled.
All suspects identified
Through "intensive and meticulous investigations", the Vienna State Criminal Police Office was quickly able to track down the suspects and their whereabouts. The suspects are a 16-year-old Serbian national, a 17-year-old German, an 18-year-old of unknown nationality, a 19-year-old Hungarian and a 20-year-old Romanian.
All five have confessed, the alleged weapon was a toy pistol.
