Red Bull Salzburg cannot become champions like this!

Reigning champions FC Red Bull Salzburg went down 4-3 to Austria Klagenfurt at the Wörthersee. From the Bulls' point of view, the second half in particular resembled a refusal to work. The championship title is now a distant prospect. "Steilpass", a column by "Krone" editor Philip Kirchtag. 

You would think that the Bulls would be aware of the seriousness of the situation in the Bundesliga. Salzburg have already missed out on two of their goals for the season (winning the cup and spending the winter on the international stage), so they should be all the more determined to win the league title. But there was no sign of that at all in the embarrassing visit to Klagenfurt. The second half of the 3:4 defeat at the Wörthersee resembled a refusal to work. No commitment, no passion and no playful accents. One thing is clear: you can't become champions like this.

New coach Onur Cinel had no explanation for his team's poor performance: "It wasn't foreseeable in the last few days. We wanted to pick up where we left off in the home win against Klagenfurt on Sunday. We will have to discuss this intensively." However, he emphasized that the team definitely knew what was at stake. "The lads are determined to win. Everyone in the dressing room was extremely disappointed."

Chaos would be perfect!
The aforementioned determination must not only be on show in the dressing room on Sunday in the clash against new league leaders Sturm, but also on the pitch. Because if Graz were to win in the city of Mozart, it would be almost impossible to take the championship trophy from them. And Salzburg would then also miss out on their third goal of the season.
