Bite officers
Woman fled from pursuer to police station
On Tuesday evening, a 32-year-old man chased a woman to a police station in Vienna. During the arrest, he bit an officer.
A man chased a 37-year-old woman into a police station in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus late on Tuesday evening and bit and injured an officer after being arrested.
The drunk man followed the woman from a subway station and did not respond to the pursued woman's requests to move away. The 37-year-old therefore felt threatened and went to the Tannengasse police station. The Afghan followed her there too and then became aggressive.
Bites police officer in the arm
Police officers therefore arrested the man at around 11.30 p.m. and took him to the police station's holding area. There, the 32-year-old attacked an officer and bit him on the arm. There was no open wound due to the protective clothing, but the bite was so severe that the injured man had to be treated in hospital and was unable to continue his duties.
1.4 per mille alcohol
According to the police, the Afghan, who was obviously drunk, was tested for alcohol and found to be around 1.4 per mille. The man claimed to have gotten lost and therefore approached the woman. He will be charged with at least aggressive behavior, causing a disturbance, resisting public authority and grievous bodily harm. A more detailed interrogation of the woman being pursued was still pending.
