City capitulates: No-driving signs removed
From now on, road users can no longer drive illegally through two streets in the Waidmannsdorf district of Klagenfurt. This is because the no-driving signs have been removed.
Klagenfurt traffic officer Sandra Wassermann independently removed the no-driving signs in the Waidmannsdorf district on Tuesday. "People simply drive through here illegally," says the officer, adding: "These prohibition signs are no longer needed, they are not necessary in this area, the regulations are outdated. Waidmannsdorf is now free of these barriers."
Specifically, this concerns Ginskeygasse at the level of Schuhmanngasse and
Universitätsstraße at the level of Wilfriedgasse. Driving was prohibited here until Tuesday (23.04.2024). That is now history.
Local residents rejoice!
"You can finally drive through there again. It's only a few meters. We've always had to take a long detour here!" say the residents, who are delighted with the closure.
