A good two weeks ago, the German private TV industry was shaken: presenter Elton (53) was shown the door by ProSieben without warning and had to give up his show "Schlag den Star"! Will the next setback now follow? Because Elton's new RTL show turned out to be a total flop.

It was a real shock for all fans of presenter and entertainer Elton. His surprising departure from ProSieben was recently announced - after 20 years of working together! And his RTL show "Blamieren oder Kassieren" was also thrown out of the program without further ado.

"To make one thing clear: I am not giving up this wonderful show voluntarily," Elton thundered in an angry post on his social media profile.

The news hit him like a bolt from the blue after his management asked the ProSieben boss whether rumors about his cancellation of "Schlag den Star" were true.

 But the TV world didn't have to wait long for the 53-year-old. After all, in addition to the quiz show "Wer weiß denn sowas?", Elton can now also be seen in the RTL show "Drei gegen Einen" alongside Knossi and Tim Mälzer. In the show, a team competes against real professionals in various challenges.

But is there now bad news here too? Elton's new show is not at all well received by viewers. What sounds like an exciting competition disappointed viewers. "Whoever is responsible for this should be fired," was one of the comments.

"Will probably be the next show with Elton to be canceled," blasphemed one user. "Has Elton already prepared an Instagram story for when RTL cancels 'Drei gegen Einen'?" wrote another spitefully.
