"When he's not there"
Beckham: “Fake tan” nights with daughter Harper
When David (48) is away, mom Victoria Beckham (50) and daughter Harper (12) have fun! The former Spice Girl spoke about her life as a mother in a new interview. Beckham and Harper would regularly spend glamorous girls' nights out together.
In a new interview with The Sunday Times, the fashion designer spoke about her hands-on parenting style, which includes mother-daughter girls' nights out, as her 12-year-old daughter Harper is her only child still living at home.
"We do them when David is away"
Beckham recounted a trip with Harper to a supermarket to get a particular snack the little girl needed for school. "I've never not done these things, and neither has David. They're important," the mother of four said of the day-to-day parenting tasks that also serve as bonding moments.
But when her husband is away, Victoria and her daughter provide glamorous girls' nights out. "We do them when David's away," she said, revealing, "Tonight it's fake-tan."
"Have better options than back then"
The singer celebrated her 50th birthday on Saturday at a star-studded party at Oswald's, a private members-only club in London. Guests included Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, as well as the ex-Spice Girls.
Beckham's entire family, including Harper's brothers Brooklyn (25) Romeo (21) and Cruz (19), dressed up to celebrate the Beckham matriarch.
In her interview with The Sunday Times, Victoria reflected on getting older. "The thing about ageing is that it is what it is. I always remember Marc Jacobs saying to me when he turned 60 that it was better than the alternative of not turning 60," she said. "But generally I feel good," she added. "I have better opportunities now than I did when I was younger."
