Spice Girls reunion!
Victoria Beckham celebrates 50th with “Stop” performance
Victoria Beckham (50) provided an unforgettable surprise at her birthday party on Saturday! As her husband David Beckham revealed on Instagram, there was a spontaneous reunion of the Spice Girls!
Together with her former bandmates Geri Horner (51), Emma Bunton (48), Melanie C (50) and Mel B (48), Victoria performed the iconic dance routine to her 1997 single "Stop" in front of enthusiastic guests.
"Best night ever"
David Beckham filmed the special moment and posted the video on his Instagram account the day after the party, which took place at Oswald's private club in London.
"Best night ever! Happy birthday to me! Love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife," Victoria wrote!
"Sooo much fun"
In the video, you can first see David Beckham's excited face as he stands in front of the Spice Girls, who dance on stage to "Stop" in the same formation as in the music video. During the chorus, the ladies raise their arms and form stop signs with their hands as they perform the group's legendary dance routine.
In between, David even sings along to the lyrics of the song before panning the camera and briefly filming himself enjoying the performance. Party guests Eva Longoria and Marc Anthony can also be seen dancing in the background of the video. "Soooo much fun!" commented Longoria (49) under Victoria's post.
Celebrity guest list
In addition to the Spice Girls, the guest list provided further wow moments: Tom Cruise, Jason Statham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Gordon Ramsay, Salma Hayek-Pinault and make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury celebrated together with Victoria.
The Spice Girls appearance comes shortly after the 30th anniversary of the band's casting. Incidentally, former singer and current fashion designer Victoria Beckham shone in an elegant mint green dress despite a foot injury. According to reports, she was carried out on her hands by her husband after the party, which is said to have cost 300,000 euros.
Beckham children joined in the celebrations
Of course, the Beckham family didn't miss out on the party either. Victoria and David's children Harper (12), Brooklyn (25), Romeo (21) and Cruz (19) posed before the party in their chic outfits for this special occasion.
Victoria Beckham became famous with the girl group in the 1990s and has since built up a career as a designer. She turned 50 on Wednesday. According to media reports, the celebration took place at the weekend in a private club in London's posh Mayfair district.
